Here are some pictures of the neighbourhood that has been my home for the past six months:

iz you kidding me?
Debniki in the hizzouse or something... I grew up right around there, went to zerowka and a bit of first grade right off Tyniecka. Will be there for a week later this month, will throw a obwarzanek at you if I see you.

Hopefully not left Krakow to work in front of a bloomberg screen.

That second papierosy sklepik photo reminds me of a similar shop on Baluckiego that did fruits and vegetables... not sure if still there. I remember my mom was buying some potatoes there on one of our trips back. As she ordered them you hear some 140-year old perpetually angry Babcia shout "ziemniaki po polsku" since my mom asked for kartofle. Oops, can't rub off the austrohungarian rule that easily I guess.

Bloomberg?! No. no. I can't do maths.

I don't think the fruit and veg shop is still there. I always got my fruit and veg from the lovely chaps on Rynek Dębnicki.
Like the potato story :)

The lovely chaps on Rynek Dębnicki told me today that they miss you, as their daily sales suddenly went down.

The chaps on Rynek Dębnicki are indeed lovely, as is the chap in Żabka. Did you ever go in there? He's definitely going in my Krakow Good/Bad Service Guidebook.

oh no... I only ever saw women in żabka. but then again I only ever went there if Złoty Róg was already closed...
