Secret Lodziarnia

Walking home in the late afternoon sunshine, I passed a tiny ice-cream place, not long out of winter hibernation.

Curious, I stepped inside and ordered a scoop of borówkowy (blueberry - but don't start, because we could be debating this one for ages).

And it was actually pretty good: real bits of fruit (as well as seeds) and a delicious berry-tartness to foil the creamy dairy flavour (as opposed to the Słodkie Wenztl blueberry, which tends to be bland). It was even - dare I say it - reminiscent of the famous ice-cream on Starowiślna. Without the queues.

It's on Madalińskiego, just off Rynek Dębnicki: polecam. Smacznego!

Was it at Starowiślna str.? Best ice cream ever! But You didn't mention long queues, so i'm wondering.

Damn! I missed last part...
How could that happen? I remember i've read every part of Your post, but don't remember whole content...

no no, not the Starowiślna one. Although that one's definitely the best... mmm...

This one can't be quite as good, I suppose, otherwise there'd be more people queueing up, but the blueberry definitely tasted pretty good to me, and quite similar to the Starowiślna one. I'd definitely go back. Sadly I wasn't hungry enough for more than one scoop, but next time I'll definitely try and summon up an appetite and try a couple more flavours, for research purposes and the greater good :)

It hasn't been there long, that place. Right next to my flat, but I've never been tempted inside... until now!

OK I will try your recommendation! If it will be not tasty I will demand my zlotys back from you PINO!!! ;-)

ah... well I only tried the one flavour you see: I can only be held responsible for the tastiness of the blueberry flavour. ;)

ps why has no-one started the borówka/jagoda argument yet?!

thanks! very interesting. I love those language maps, I spent many happy hours in the library as an undergraduate, shading things in with coloured pencils. Those were the days.

Damn, Debniki is my childhood hood... big up or something.

I scream for ice cream.

In Kraków they are right, because jagoda it's not only borówka. It's evertything what has little kind of seeds inside. So jagody is wilder family, borówka shorter.
