Rattling old trams, snow in the park at night, people speaking Polish in the metro... this all seems strangely... familiar...

Left my beloved Kraków now to set up in Brussels but this is by no means the end of my adventures with Polish. Linguistic confusion and cross-cultural misunderstandings still abound. I'm an interpreter, a translator, a musician, I'm learning to cook again and I miss my dog. I think that's got it covered, more or less.

Looks like a narrower version of Al. Ujazdowskie to me...
Pinalona - Poland beckons you at every turn. Even the weather is telling you... head East, young lady!
the weather is telling me 'head nowhere!'. Eurostar is stuck, tunnel all but closed, M20 stacked up, BXL international airport running limited services... bloody western European inability to deal with anything below freezing!
Really it is a good posting. I liked it. It's very impressive. Pinalona - Poland beckons you at every turn. Even the weather is telling you... head East, young lady!

Hey Miss! When you coming back across the Channel? Are we seeing you on NYE?

um... well that's a bit of a controversial question: I was actually supposed to be coming home today but for various reasons I'm stuck without a ticket (will email you). there's also a pretty impressive blizzard going on outside my window right now so I suspect it's not worth trying to go anywhere for the moment. Hopefully I'll be able to join the rush to get out of Brussels on Tuesday when the weather is supposed to clear a bit!

eek! good luck! M xx
